Think I’ve come to that place in life where I think I’ve said everything I was ever going to say. The rest is just repetition.
So in honour of meaningless repetition henceforth, let me quote one of my fav childhood cartoons…

Went over the the Black Country Boating Festival at the weekend. As always i had my trusty handheld device and did some filming. Met some lovely people there. Decent weather and lovely day out with the family. Shoutout to Tidy Andy & his lovely wife who put me onto the event! Check out his blog here

Popped down to the Martineau Gardens over the weekend to see the Beekeepers of Birmingham’s Honey Show.
I met John Gale, the Honey Show Manager who was kind enough to explain to me the goings on. Thanks for the shot of mead ;0)

Went to a local brum treat of a festival. The Kings Norton Festival. There was music and there were vendors but I was particularly drawn to the canal where a different easy Sunday morning vibe was in full swing. Got to chatting to the traders on the canal. Quite the alternative lifestyle requiring the paradox that is being very organised and industrious as well as being easy going. A life of travel and constant change!
The lovely Helen of Wildside Preserves gave us a jar of her award winning Strawberry & Raspberry jam with Raspbery Gin, yum! It was cool having a bit of banter with these awesome tradespeople who float about from town to town selling their wares. CHECK OUT THE VIDEO!!
The Northfield Arts Carnival was yesterday. Lots of fun to be had! here are some highlights from my trusty iphone.
I was fortunate enough to have some of my artwork used by the Northfield Arts Forum for their Arts Village. Check out their website here https://artsforumnorthfield.wordpress.com/events/
Today was a lot of fun, we went to Walsall’s Annual Music Festival, Bands on the Beacon.
Tired from camping Shennanigans, and with a poor weather outlook it looked like we might just stay indoors. Somehow we managed to get our togs on and venture forth! We were pleasantly surprised by the Sun popping out and arriving a festival in full swing! Oh and did I mention Nashe got to hang out with the Sherlocks who gave him his first set of Drumsticks!! Legends. check out their music here http://thesherlocksmusic.co.uk/
Two little Toddlers had their first ever camping experience in the back garden this weekend. One loved it, the other didn’t much rate the darkness… but suffice to say fun ensued. Great to have the grandparents pitching in too ( pun intended)
Today we made a mini- camp fire in the garden. It was Nash & Zori’s first time trying toasted marshmallows and chocolate bananas. I think fun was had :o)
Phew! went to bed at 1am woke up at 3: 30am to catch the sunrise at Beacon Hill in the Lickey Hills Country Park!! Well worth it! Its a shame my iPhone couldn’t quite capture it, you had to be there, check out the 2 min vid anyway!! see if you can spot the moon.
Today Zori made some ice-cream!
Nashe has a very vivid imagination. Stories are his favourite thing ever! Today he and his Mom collaborated on a wild tale. It got a bit morbid at the end…
Today we went for a little excursion to Deers Leap Wood. One word to describe it would be jungle -istic. We made a mobile, climbed on logs and squeezed through the undergrowth. This site is one that is still very much a work in progress but well worth visiting for the mellifluous birdsong alone!!

Decided to try a new challenge for the 30 day challenge. A bit of art. I thought to try to spell the word wild out of sundry creatures on the iPad. Thanks to my little family for their help with colouring.
A very tame one today! just me on my tod. would you like to see some clouds whizzing by? Here goes…
Today was a challenge, hayfever was overpowering itchy eyes, sniffles, sneezing, lethargy, ear irritations and more. Aaaaargh!! Still managed to get down to our local canal for a short spell. We hopped over a stile and sat down to read awhile when a farmer and his wife set upon us! They thought we were teenagers gathering to enjoy some weed. We used the opportunity to preach about the Challenge. One is still feeling pretty ill, so will sign of now.
I must admit today was a bit of a random one. Having been away working the whole day I was beat. Was feeling a bit random today, can you tell? Nashe came up with his own game where he lined a gang of leaves together and then went on to race them!! he called it leaf racing, what an imaginative little mind.
Today was a lot of creative fun in the Mud, with special visitors! Nashe and Zori’s Aunt Pauline, Aunt Laura and cousin Lisa!! ps. Nashe Lost his first milk tooth today…
More Shennanigans in our wet garden today
Today was a wet and grim one. We decided to get into the garden and see if we could find things that live under rocks.
Today the famalam did some nice calm flower pressing.
Today we went outside and made some pinwheels. We drew some attention with our peculiar ways. Some kids asked & we used the chance to spread the word about the 30 day challenge. So hey guys if you’re reading this Hey up!
Today we visited one of our local Nature Reserves. Moseley Bog and Joy’s Wood. It is said to have inspired Tolkein in his imagining of the battles in the Lord of the Rings!! It was so lush and green and all the while just a stones throw away! who knew. We simply traipsed about and enjoyed the wildness of it all and then we made some leaf crowns!
